CAMERA SOLO | May 2021 exhibit contact2021

A camera solo, one with no other purpose, involves a silent pact between human and machine to stop time, to encase a moment "for keeps". This pact is one of hubris in intent and humility in practice. Shot over years of opportunity, misadventure and luck, Hartman's exhibit offers a second look at the unexpected, the unspoken and the unquestionable in 25 images of chance discoveries, passing thoughts, and random beauty.
